Steve Guttenberg, a movie actor and "Dancing with the Stars" personality, has appeared in an apparently amateur video on YouTube (as well as posted on countless other personal websites) as he is running naked through New York City's Central Park. The video showing the actor in his exhibitionism seems to have been posted sometime during the first days of November 2008 (possibly as of Nov. 1). An unknown man apparently has seen Guttenberg expose himself this way on a regular basis, whereas he then decided to record the actor and catch him in the act. The video was then posted on the internet and has been seen by tens of thousands of individuals at YouTube alone.
Guttenberg is best known for his movie appearance in Diner, Cocoon, Three Men and a Baby, Police Academy, and Short Circuit. In 2008 Guttenberg was also a contestant on television's 6th season of Dancing with the Stars.
Back on May 6, 2008, the actor made an appearance on Howard Stern's radio show, whereas Guttenberg claimed "his penis was 10" long when erect" (howardstern.com). Stern's website "noted that porn star Brittaney Starr claims Steve once took her up to his hotel room and showed her his penis, and Steve relented: 'I don't remember Brittaney, but I do like to show it'."
Guttenberg's other work of noteworthy status mostly has to do with charities aimed at homeless and young people. H carries that interest into both the producing and directing of television programming related to welfare issues for youth. Guttenberg's involvement in youth issues is a significant part of his work, interests and career.
I was surprised to come across this video of Steve Guttenberg on the Internet. At first, you wonder if it's true. Then you wonder if its comedy. But, then, as I realized its been posted not only on YouTube, but on personal websites over the last several days. It's even posted on Wikipedia.org; whereas, at the time of this writing, other strange posts have been made also at that particular site. One link takes you to Guttenberg's seemingly homemade video "Guttenberg's Steak House!" which is a bizarre self-promotion in view of everything else found on the actor. One link on Wikipedia.org is currently corrupted or vandalized, as it automatically opens three other Wikipedia.org pages related to Guttenbergs movies. This appears to be more bizarre self-promotion, but it's somewhat unknown who posted it , or how.
What is most ultimately bizarre beyond belief, however, is that Guttenberg has been caught in a seeming criminal and/ or perverse exhibitionism, whereas he actually acts as if he is doing nothing beyond normal. But, indeed, this is a man with a long and popular acting career, who also maintains interest in public charities that relate to youth welfare issues. So, would most people find this appropriate, beyond what is initially funny, amusing or shocking? Is it funny and amusig? Are we seeing Guttenberg on the verge of insanity and possibly unfolding and exposing himself within criminal acts of misconduct?
